The New York Times

Helena Anrather is pleased to present new works by Oren Pinhassi and Olivia Reavey that subvert and poke at notions of the body and desire, and the erotics of power and permission. Pinhassi’s work meets at the intersection of architecture, furniture, landscape and the body, probing the ties between desire and fear, and the boundaries that inspire transgression. His sculptures are in playful dialogue with Reavey’s photographs, whose masterful compositions bely a tongue-in-cheek approach to putting the male body on display, inverting the typical dynamic of viewership and the production of visual pleasure.
